Taking a break from the wing design. Does anyone want to give him a name? Comment on a cool name you can think of, then i'll choose the best one.

Drawn while resting at home and colored it as i was going to sleep. Inspired by Shippuuden Sasuke. Colors are done in vector shapes entirely. No ipods and no glowys. Old fashioned cell shade.

Info:
A skilled mid-level samurai that is sponsored by only one company (6-up lemonade) in the SDL (Samurai Duel League) and wonders aimlessly until he is commitioned to hunt for a priceless sword by a blade collector. With promise of lifelong support and lucrative deals with other companies Oborumaru embarks on a journey for the priceless sword.

Though hving a modest record in the SDL, he is not known in the SDL and popularity is never his strong side. He falls asleep in the most odd of times thus accounting for much of his losses. (And only gets hurt while asleep) But beyond that he is a formidable swordsman knowing much about hand grips and very durable in battle.

His demeanor is mild despite his rugged look and loves to well... sleep and play sudoku.

6-up Lemonade still owes him money and doesn't give him any support (like sword polishers, trainers, blade carriers etc. like other samurais in the league) but rice for him and his family and scheduled duels.

Thanks to all that gave me an idea and participated in the inquiry.

I'm very flattered by the words you said but i myself am new to detailed illustrating. I did check out the image of the girl calm samurai you drew and quite frankly there are certain elements that needs to be worked on. But overall the coloring and shading well exceeds this piece that i did.

Now, you need to pay attention to the anatomy of the body you are going to draw. I myself struggle in these areas and may probably the hardest to perfect. Plus the details you put in the dead samurais tend to have hugged more attention than needed. A little fade here and there and subtle paleness in them would have brought out the vibrant colors of the lady warrior. Nonetheless for 15 hours woth of work, it is an understatement that you finished it with such detail. Hope that helps.
